On morons

I might agree with you that someone doing something stupid isn’t a good enough reason to call them a moron.

But sometimes, when the thing is so clearly idiotic, like buying a bookmark at the checking counter in a book shop -something that yours truely does on a regular basis- you get to call them a moron. They have handed you the option.

And sometimes, when someone does something so idiotic that it’s borderline criminal, like hire their nephew and make you work with them, you must call them a moron. It becomes moral obligation. They have left you no option.
