I just tokenized our brand-new design system using this cool Figma plugin. It's underwhelmingly simple. If you watch the common discourse about this, they would convince you this is witchcraft. I'm sure this would be a course in a charlatanic university (sorry for the tautology) soon.
7 billion hours of youtube tutorials exist on the subject. There's a staggering number of people selling courses, guides, templates, chatrooms, and all sorts of self-help paraphernalia. People post on their adventures doing this like they crossed a crocodile-infested river in the midst of a typhoon on doomsday.
If you learned that learning looks a certain way, you will always learn like that. For me, I always did my learning backward. Practice first, and then months and years later, theory.
What needs to be done? I just start doing it. No training camp, no pep-talk, no warm-up, no practice round. I do it, wrong, then fix it, then do it again, and fix it, and then I know enough to provide value. Sometime later, when I seek the theory, I never forget it because I'm filling in the blanks as opposed to pouring knowledge into nothing.
The 80% is always very simple. The complex stuff is NEVER talked about because it's contextual so it's hard to reach the very few that would get it. They are busy figuring out their own complexity and exploring their own tangential solutions to problems they can't precisely formulate.
So yeah, tokenization? kinda cool, eh?
