# On airports

Airport are not made for passengers. We are not the customer. They have a monopoly on air travel in their respective areas and they don't benefit from making passenger’s lives better. One might argue that they deliberately sabotage the experience to get you to buy things like fast track services, lounge access, and spend more time perusiny the same boring products and sipping overpriced coffee in their shopping areas.

It doesn't take a genius to improve airports. Why is it that the longest scanning area only allows 3 people at a time? Why don't you make it longer so that people can comfortably remove their laptop, ipad, belt, scarf, shoes, jacket, watch, rings, keys and every last bit of their dignity?

If apple can show a big arrow on the iPhone and point you precisely to your lost airpods, how hard could it be to show a similar arrow to take you to your gate? Why doesn't the boarding information show on your Apple pay boarding pass? I'm sure it's not simple, but it's a billion times simpler than scheduling flights and pricing them. They just don't do it because the only people that benefit are the passengers, who are certainly not the customer.

There's clearly money to be made by providing these services at a premium. I wonder what happened to everyone who tried 🤔
